Mud’n’Tar Motorcycles have been in business selling motorcycles since 1999. Rod and Tracy Mulvey opened the business in a small shed behind another business in Wauchope with the desire and the passion to present an enthusiast’s motorcycle shop. As such they have continued, with the assistance of their staff, to try to deliver great customer service, excellent products and a friendly helpful attitude with all things motorcycles.

Our Staff

Rod Mulvey, along with his wife Tracey, own Mud ‘n’ Tar Motorcycles. Rod has been on motorcycles on the dirt and on the road since the 1970’s. He was bitten by the bug when his father brought home one of the first ag bikes available and found out that two wheels were better than 4 hooves. He moved off the land and amongst other things he came to specialize (with passion) in motorcycle mechanics.

He has totted up about 40 years of experience in his chosen career gaining experience in Sydney, Orange and Port Macquarie before starting Mud n Tar Motorcycles 12 years ago. He is always trying to hone his skills and knowledge so that he can offer the best to his customers. He still enjoys riding and can often be seen at an enduro or in the bush or going for a road ride with Tracey.

Tracey Mulvey, is Rod’s wife, partner and off-sider, working beside Rod since Mud n Tars beginnings 12 years ago. Her main role in the business is administaration, finance and insurance. She met Rod 30 years ago and has been riding with him ever since. Tracey and Rod have three beautiful daughters (all of which are accounted for) and one of Traceys main jobs has been being a Mum and a homemaker for her family which is what she enjoys the most.

Mick Prott (or Protty as he’s known) has recently joined us, he brings with him a wealth of knowledge from years of motocross and enduro competition. Micks riding days started in the paddock beside the house on a second hand XR75 with a horse eaten seat. Mick and his son Matt competed in the NSW Offroad Championships during 2014, finishing 2nd in Championship Vets class and 3rd in Expert U/19’s respectively. Mick also possess a strong capacity to understand customers and their needs and seeks to ensure that everyone’s experience at Mud n Tar is an enjoyable one.
